The Largest Transparent LED Screen in the European Union

A Landmark Project in Digital Advertising

RINEO DIGITAL, a division of RINEO Sign Factory Group, successfully completed the installation of the largest transparent LED screen in the European Union. Located on the Palmers Tower in Vienna, the display covers an impressive area of 1,020 m², making it one of the most remarkable digital advertising installations in Europe.

Mounted at a height of 50 meters, the screen combines advanced LED technology with modern architecture, creating a unique platform for large-scale digital communication and advertising.

Project Execution

The project included the design and installation of the supporting steel structure, transparent LED modules, electrical infrastructure, and communication network. All works were completed within just 35 working days.

More than 6 kilometers of cabling, 7 tons of steel structure, and approximately 13 tons of transparent LED modules were used during the installation. The system consists of around 1,400 transparent LED cabinets, providing outstanding visibility while preserving the transparency and appearance of the building’s glass façade.

Outstanding Performance

The LED display achieves brightness levels of up to 10,000 nits, ensuring exceptional visibility in all lighting conditions, day and night. Professional Novastar control systems provide stable and reliable performance, delivering high-quality content display at all times.

Content management is powered by a digital signage solution developed in cooperation with Exevio, enabling efficient and flexible management of advertising campaigns and multimedia content.

Engineered for Extreme Conditions

Special attention was given to safety, durability, and long-term reliability. The structure and display are engineered to withstand extreme weather conditions, including wind speeds of up to 305 km/h.
